Ramos Gin Fizz

60 ml Bombay Sapphire
15 ml of fresh lemon juice
15 ml of fresh lime juice
20 ml of sugar syrup (instructions opposite)
1 egg white
4 dashes (splashes) of orange water
20 ml of cream 30%
30 ml (approximately) of soda water (to make the cocktail "fluffy")
garnish: the tip of the mint branch and lemon zest

I have already partially covered the preparation rules in the description of the cocktail, but not everyone knows how to prepare sugar syrup. Well, we simply boil a kilogram of sugar in 0.7 l of water and it's ready. In the preparation it is important to add soda, because it is the gas that allows you to whip the cream with the egg white. After hacking, it is served in a tall glass with ice. When it is well shaken and drenched in its entirety, it gives us a beautiful thick foam at the top. And even if the foam overflows a bit at the rim - no problem. This cocktail is to be poured from the heart.

A separate issue is how to decorate Ramos Gin Fizz. I am a minimalist in this matter, so I recommend two solutions. If you don't want to use zest, which is just grated citrus peel, you can use the top four mint leaves. First, we pick a few twigs and gently shake the cocktail bouquet so that it gives off some essential oils. Fresh green leaves nicely contrast with the color of the light foam of this cocktail. Like a cherry. I recommend reaching for the maraschino cherry, i.e. wild cherry dipped in its nectar. It is an alcohol made from the juice of the aforementioned cherry and is a form of brandy called Luxardo Maraschino. It creates a dense, sweet pickle with a dry note. Such a cherry, soaked in its alcoholic essence, not only tastes fantastic, but on top of Ramos Gin Fizz it looks like a drop of blood melting on the white sheets.
